The alleged incident took place on Wednesday about noon, with police arresting and charging a 33-year-old Maryborough man with robbery several hours later.
Lai Yap, one of the pharmacists involved in the incident, said she was was "feeling good" after Wednesday's terrifying experience.
"Everything is good and back to normal," she said.
"Customers are coming back and lots of people are mentioning what happened but we are trying not to elaborate.
"It's all good."
Ms Yap said the experience was terrifying and she was grateful the store's CCTV cameras captured the incident.
Senior constable Andy Heazlewood commended Kangaroo Flat business owners for their assistance in providing video footage of the incident.
Senior constable Heazlewood said footage from security cameras aided in the arrest of the man, who has been charged with one count of robbery.
"We would like to thank traders for their time and co-operation," he said.
"The security-camera footage they gave us was crucial to our investigation."
The Windermere Hotel helped police with their investigation, providing them with video footage of the incident.
IGA Kangaroo Flat manager Bianca McMaster said the store was not able to provide police with CCTV footage but would have done so if possible.
Ms McMaster said there were cameras positioned inside and out the back of the store but not out the front.
"The police came and asked us for video footage and if we could have helped we would have."
Ms McMaster said cameras played an important role in reducing the number of thefts in the store.
"And not just for thefts but also accidents that happen in the store," she said.
