SMOKE will be visible across parts of Maryborough, Dunolly and Maryborough as part of a range of planned burns.
Ignition for the targeted burns started at 10am but authorities have warned smoke may resonate until at least Friday.
The Department of Environment and Primary Industries, Parks Victoria and CFA have warned that planned burning will be carried out for fuel reduction purposes.Smoke may be visible in Dunolly, Maryborough, Avoca, Talbot and Carisbrook, as well as surrounding areas.
Planned burns - locations
Maryborough: Snake Hill Track, 439 ha fuel reduction burn. Cohuna: Rifle Butt Rd, 40 hectare fuel reduction burn. Dunolly: Murderers Hill, 333 hectare fuel reduction burn.
