MEMBER for Swan Hill Peter Walsh is encouraging local community groups and schools to apply for funding under the government’s $20 million grants program.
The aim of the grant is to help improve and upgrade local children’s services.
Mr Walsh said it was a golden opportunity for the community.
“Securing a grant will improve access to high quality early years services and ensure children have greater access to high-quality earl years services,” he said.
There are four types of grants available.
They include, the Integrated Children’s Centre grants, New Early Learning Facilities grants, Early Learning Facility Upgrade grants and Minor Infrastructure grants.
Applications for minor grants close on November 19 while expressions of interest for major infrastructure grants close on November 29.
Children’s Facilities Capital Program grants close on February 21, 2014.
