AFL clubs were warned in a recent meeting of the 18 chief executives to expect some experimental fixturing in 2014.
Scan smokers for lung cancer
Screening heavy smokers for lung cancer every year could save up to 1500 lives, doctors say.
Associate Professor Paul Mitchell, a senior oncologist at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre, said annual CT scans of long-term smokers aged over 55 would lead to earlier detection of lung cancer, improving treatment options and survival rates.
