BENDIGO and Adelaide Bank shareholders have welcomed the company’s Annual General Meeting.
About 200 people attended the event at The Capital theatre on Monday.
Brian and Dorothy Carey of Perth said the bank was on the right track with a strong financial position.
“The meeting was well chaired,” Mr Carey said.
“There were clear answers to the questions and the ways in which they picked up the questions was good.
“There was a surprisingly good financial result given the difficult environment.”
Graeme and Barbara Scoullar have been shareholders for about three years and attended the AGM for the first time.
“I thought it was really quite good,” Mr Scoullar said.
“I think they covered just about every aspect of what we were interested in, which was the future and how things are going.
“I’m happy with the overall financial result.”
Melton resident James Dallas was equally pleased.
“It’s basically smooth sailing,” he said.
"Things are back to normal and it’s full steam ahead.”
