A GOLF day fundraiser has pitched in a major donation to Horizon House to assist teenagers in need.
The $2,020 raised will help fund the Horizon Transition home, which works to give older children independent living, while also receiving support.
The house was established 12 years ago and has provided care and support for more than 100 young people in the Bendigo area.
Horizon House chairman Robert Cook said he was thrilled to receive the generous support.
"The money will go a long way to helping with the transition house,” he said.
Mawby Property was one of the major supporters of the recent Westpac Bank golf day and the annual Raising Light Dinner.
Mawby's Rory Somerville said the company were glad to be able to offer financial assistance.
"We're delighted to be able to support Horizon House and the homeless kids of Bendigo,” he said.
Horizon house cares for up to 6 young people and also provides support to disadvantaged people through its mobile youth canteen.
