PEOPLE are invited to come along to a free walking history tour of Fryerstown on Friday, followed by morning tea.
Fryerstown, in the bushlands beyond Chewton, has an amazing history and people can hear stories of Fryerstown in bygone days along the guided walk.
The gentle one-hour walk will start at 10am at the old Fryerstown School, at the top of Camp Street.
The walking tour is part of a series of monthly walks around the shire organised by the Healthy Active Living Mount Alexander project.
Everyone is welcome and fitness is not necessary. People with chronic diseases are encouraged to attend.
For more information contact Philippa Calwell at the Mount Alexander Shire Council on 5471 1880.
