THE William Loud Bendigo International has been rocked by the withdrawal of top seed Ashleigh Barty.
The 17-year-old rising star pulled-out of the first of two $50,000 Pro Tour events in Bendigo after reportedly suffering a back injury on Saturday.
Barty, who won first round matches at the French and US Open this year, is still entered for the second Bendigo International, starting Monday.
"She's still on the list for the second week," Bendigo Tennis Association executive officer Leon Retallick said.
"It's kind of disappointing, but there's still plenty of good players here worth coming down to watch."
