CAR and motorbike enthusiasts have been getting behind the wheel to enjoy the 84th Mount Tarrengower Historic Hill climb this weekend.
The event, organised by the Bendigo Car Club, is the longest running hill climb event in Australia.
Around a thousand people turned out to watch 100 historic vehicles (all pre-1972) race the 1.6 kilometres from the bottom of Mount Tarrengower to the lookout at the top.
Event Secretary and President of the Bendigo Car Club, Craig Button hailed the event a success.
“We've had a good crowd and the number of competitors is higher than we've had in the last couple of years" he said.
“The competitors take so much pride in their vehicles.”
