BENDIGO is on the brink of becoming a major food destination, according to some of the leading hospitality business owners.
Wine Bank on View’s Mark Coffey said the city was increasingly known for its quality dining.
He said there was optimism within the industry that Bendigo could become a culinary leader.
“We’re on the cusp,” he said. “There are great establishments here already. We just need more people coming. We’re not far off.”
Barzurk owner Matt Connolly said the rate of competition had driven higher standards. He said Bendigo was growing all the time with new ideas and new restaurants popping up.
Mr Connolly and Mr Coffey will join The Exchange Cafe Bar and Restaurant owner Paul Smilie, and Black Swan owner Andreas Bazzani, in sharing their insights at the 'Secrets of Success' Young Professionals Network dinner next Thursday October 24.
Tickets are $75 and are available at www.ypn.net.au
