EAGLEHAWK held on for a four-shot victory against Bendigo East in Monday's second round of the Bendigo Bowls Division midweek pennant.
Playing on home greens in Simpsons Road, Eaglehawk won 12-73 to 4-69.
A highlight for the Hawks was the 38-18 win by the Yvonne Boyd-skipped rink against Susan Howes.
East won the other contests, 21-20 and 30-15.
Golden Square was in hot form at home.
The blue and gold won 14-88 to 2-54 against Castlemaine.
Golden Square's winning skippers were Patti Pain by 11 shots and Judy Eddy by 26.
The Pam Hunter-skjipped rink from Castlemaine beat Julie Ross by three shots.
Scores were locked on 64-all at the end of the clash between Bendigo Golf and Inglewood.
Points went in Golf's favour after it won nine of the 16 contests.
Winning skippers for Golf were Harris and McEwan, while Jones won for Inglewood.
Kangaroo Flat won on Wodbury's greens at Bendigo Club in Strathdale by 15 shots.
The Roos led 13-67 to 3-52 after the final bowl.
The match between Val Flett from Kangaroo Flat and V. Rodgers from Woodbury ended at 19-all.
Waegeli and Berry won their matches for the Roos.
In division three, Golden Square's Mavis Lea (pictured) and her team-mates had a big win at Bendigo Bowls Club.
Golden Square won the round two clash by 20 shots.
