DOCUMENTS show former Bendigo Nando’s staff are owed $34,000 in entitlements with unsecured creditors owed about $517,000 according to liquidator Paul Burness.
Drangus Pty Ltd, which used to run the High Street site, is listed by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission as being in liquidation from October 11.
Nando’s head office took over the franchise from the company recently. It's not known how many staff were affected.
Mr Burness, a director with Worrells Solvency and Forensic Accountants, said the liquidator would look at what action could be taken against Drangus and Nando's.
“We will be reviewing the records, conducting an investigation and then determining whether any causes of actions arise,” he said.
“Based on the document that has been lodged with ASIC, it shows there are assets of about $109,000.
“We’ll be looking to see on what basis Nandos have taken the assets and then if that’s recoverable."
