IT was books galore at the Spring Book Fair held by the Y Service Club of Bendigo at the weekend.
About 1500 people made their way to the Tom Tweed YMCA Stadium to browse through the rows of books.
Romance, agriculture, health- there were books to feed everyone's taste buds.
Book fair co-ordinator Peter Searle said the event sold about 15,000 books and all money would go back to the YMCA and other worthy causes.
He said the fair was not only about raising money but also about encouraging people to read.
"It is important to read and we want to encourage reading with our book fair," he said.
Mr Searle said about 30 volunteers had helped run the event.
He said the next book fair would take place over the Easter period, starting on Good Friday.
Mr Searle said people could donate books by placing them in a book bin in front of the stadium.
He said the bin was emptied regularly.
