Mueck finished 10-under for the tournament, five strokes behind runaway leader Josh Geary.
Geary fired seven-under 65 in the final round as he powered to his maiden PGA of Australasia triumph.
Mueck teed-off on the final hole in a tie for second at nine-under with Nathan Holman, who was already in the clubhouse.
The Axedale golfer held his nerve to birdie the last.
Mueck finished the final round at one-under par 71.
He led by one stroke heading into the final round after rounds of seven-under 65, one-over 73 and three-under 69 at Mount Lawley Golf Course.

A birdie on the par-four 18th would see Mueck finish outright second, behind runaway leader Josh Geary at 15-under.
