MOUNT Pleasant is a club used to success in the Heathcote District Football League.
But having missed the finals for the past five years, you knew it had finally got to the stage of enough is enough at Toolleen last month when Derrick Filo was instilled as coach.
And Filo has been quick to make his mark at the Blues with the massive double recruiting coup this week of Kain Robins and Matt Gretgrix from Eaglehawk.
Filo is a two-time premiership coach at Eaglehawk in 2007-08, but is unlikely to be on the club's Christmas card list this year after snagging two of his former players.
But that's the nature of recruiting these days. It's a cut-throat business and there's not many better at the recruiting caper than Filo.
After all, he originally got Robins and Gretgrix to Canterbury Park, with the pair going on to provide wonderful service for the Hawks.
