CELEBRATIONS are almost underway for this year’s Powercor Australia Bendigo Business Excellence Awards.
The Category Winners and the Bendigo Business of the Year are set to be announced at a Gala Presentation Dinner tonight in what marks the awards 20th year.
The awards, run by the Rotary Club of Bendigo Sandhurst, aim to encourage businesses and individuals to strive for excellence.
And Bendigo Business Excellence Awards chairman Gerard House says everyone is excited.
“We have a new presentation format this year and we’re all geared up for it," he said.
Organisers are expecting more than 400 people to attend the glamorous event which has grown in size since it started.
City of Bendigo Councillor, and sign writer, Mark Weragoda, says it is going from strength to strength.
“As a Rotarian and a past Chair of the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards I am very excited about the evening.
“We have such an exciting business community.
“The ideals of Rotary are to excel business and I think the Bendigo Business Excellence Awards move people to excel which is fabulous.
“It is going from strength to strength. If you just look at all the categories that we have now it is terrific.”
