BICKNELLS Independent Sports is once again teaming with the Bendigo Advertiser to recognise the Bendigo District Cricket Association's top player for the 2013-14 season.
The winner of the Addy's Bicknells Player of the Year will receive a Newbery cricket kit valued at $1000.
Votes will be cast on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis by the Addy's sports department at the end of each BDCA first XI game.
"We're happy to be involved again with the Bendigo Advertiser in helping to promote cricket in central Victoria and reward excellence," Bicknells proprietor David Bicknell said on Thursday.
"There's a lot of fantastic cricketers in central Victoria and we're happy to give something back to the game in the area."
The reigning champion is Golden Square all-rounder Scott Johnson, who also took out the award in 2009-10 and 2011-12.
