IT was a landslide victory to the wine team in the second of the Public INN’S Beer versus Wine dinner series last Friday night.
In the competition, two teams, one composed of craft beer experts and the other of wine connoisseurs, matched a beverage with a set meal cooked by Public INN head chef Rohan Hehir.
Forty guests voted on whether beer or wine best accompanied the food.
The wine team's victory ties the score at one-all.
Wine team member Hayden Winch said there will be a round three after the resounding fourteen-point win.
"We need to definitively decide which is a better match for food - beer or wine.
"The date hasn't been set as yet but the challenge has definitely been laid down."
