TWO lucky Bendigo residents have both claimed $200,000 from TattsLotto.
The winning numbers came up over the weekend, handing them each $217,870 in a first division prize.
One Eaglehawk man who bought his ticket from the Eaglehawk neswagent said the win had been particularly timely.
The man in his 50s said he was made redundant from his job 12 months ago. He said the prize money would help him buy a number of items.
“The washing machine was playing up last week and I thought, ‘Now how am I going to pay to fix that?’ - and now we’ve won TattsLotto,” he told TattsLotto.
"I’ll talk it all over with my wife, but I’d say we’ll pay off the mortgage and invest a lot of the money for our retirement.”
Another winner bought his lucky ticket from Golden Square Newsagency.
The Bendigo residents were two of 19 entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool.
