A MAN was shaken but walking after he was thrown off his bicycle in Golden Square Tuesday morning.
The man was turning right off Speciman Hill Road into Pallett Street at about 9am when he was collected by a car travelling at low speed.
The woman driving the car was turning right out of Pallett Street onto Speciman Hill Road and failed to see the cyclist.
The man was knocked off his bicycle.
Paramedics attended to the man at the scene but he did not need to be taken to hospital.
He suffered bruises and grazes but was joking with police, paramedics and the motorist about 20 minutes after the incident.
Leading Senior Constable Brendan Keegan said car drivers should always look for other road users.
"Keep an eye out for bike riders during peak time, especially now with school back," he said.
"There are a lot more people on the road now.
"Be mindful that there are not only cars on the road."
Two police cars and an ambulance attended the incident.
