A PGA trainee from Echuca upstaged his rivals to clinch the WA PGA Championships title on Sunday.
Jack Wilson led from the opening round through to the final day, and showed nerves of steel to overcome Nick Gillespie in a play-off hole.
Wilson and Gillespie came in at 10-under the card after four rounds at Kalgoorlie.
Wilson stunning maiden professional triumph saw him become the first trainee to win a PGA Tour of Australasia title.
Axedale's Kris Meuck and Neangar Park's Andrew Martin will be hoping to build on their solid, if unspectacular, performances at the WA Open beginning Thursday.
Mueck ended the tournament tied for 40th at seven-over par, with Martin tied for 44th at eight-over.
Martin carded a final round of one-over par 73 and Mueck shot three-over 75.
The tour heads to Perth on Thursday.
