SMART Meters Victoria’s Mark Travill will talk in Bendigo next Tuesday to provide information on changes to electricity tariff charges.
Mr Travill will advise how to get the most of the changes at a free information session organised by The Bendigo Sustainability Group.
Victorian houses with a remote-read Smart Meter are now able to choose flexible pricing offers for their electricity, which charge different rates for electricity at different times of the day.
Bendigo Sustainability Group’s Chris Weir said it will mean customers who understand their usage patterns can start paying less for their electricity.
“Understanding how energy is used in the home, as well as understanding electricity offers is key to keeping power bills under control,” he said.
The session will be held on Tuesday at 6pm at The Capital Theatre in Bendigo.
