A FAMILY business is celebrating a special milestone at this year’s Elmore Field Days.
McCullochs Hydraulic Engineers, a business based in Bendigo, is marking 50 years of being involved with the annual event.
The field days is also in its 50th year, a feat organisers say could not have been reached without the support from stall holders.
According to McCullochs sales representative Michael Shiell the Elmore Field Days is an important event for the agricultural industry.
Mr Shiell said McCullochs had been in business for nearly 70 years.
“When we first came to the field days we were making our own agricultural machinery, we used to make golden scoops and land graters,” he said.
“We have evolved since then.
"We have gone into the repair market and have expanded into a lot more industries.
“We have a sales division, manufacturing and engineers.
“Everything we do is manufactured in Bendigo.”
Mr Shiell said the Elmore Field Days was something he other businesses looked forward to coming to ever year.
"I think if we didn’t come to the field days people would think we have gone out of business," he laughed.
"As a business we look forward to coming to the field days every year."
Mr Shiell said he looked forward to coming back to the field days next year.
