CAMPBELLS CREEK CFA members are furious after someone stole a brigade-owned trailer off a private property recently.
CFA members discovered the theft from a property on Sawmill Road, Muckleford, at 9.30am on Monday.
It was last seen by members of the CFA on Thursday.
It appears the trailer was towed out by the offender or offenders.
The blue trailer cost about $5000 and was used for fundraising.
The CFA brigade raised the money to pay for the trailer by collecting cardboard from local supermarkets and selling it to recycling companies.
“A lot of effort went into getting this trailer,” CFA Campbells Creek member Matt Murdoch said.
“People are really angry about it.
“It’s going to make it very difficult over the next couple of weeks.”
The trailer is 14 foot x 6 foot with the registration number U77 619.
Anyone with information should contact Castlemaine police on 5472 2099.
