SOUTH Bendigo hopes the return of Jeff Brennan as senior coach will help propel the club into a successful new era in the Bendigo Football Netball League.
The Bloods confirmed on Tuesday that Brennan would replace Rick Coburn.
Brennan has previously coached South's seniors back in 1998 and '99.
South's development manager Peter Tyack said bringing Brennan back to the club would reinvigorate the Bloods.
"It’s a new era at the club," Tyack said. "When we found out he was going to be available, a guy like him, the club was really keen to secure his services.
"Rick Coburn's done a brilliant job over the last seven years, but I think it's the perfect time to bring in someone like Jeff Brennan.
"To bring him back in now gives us fresh ideas, a fresh face, a different voice and we’re having a few changes off field as well – so it’s going to be a whole fresh outlook for South.
South has outlined a plan to move its base from the QEO to Harry Trott Oval.
