NEW Bendigo member Lisa Chesters wants to hear your thoughts.
The Labor member will hold a listening post at the Elmore Field Days.
"I will be at the Labor exhibit on Tuesday afternoon and Thursday morning to meet, listen and learn from locals," she said.
“Providing fairer outcomes for families in regional and rural Australia is core Labor business and I am keen to ensure that communities have input into the development of policies that will make a difference.”
The Elmore Field Days kicks off on Tuesday and will run for three days.
The agricultural event is in its 50th year and will be held at a site off the Midland Highway.
Mr Chesters said the sector was important to Australia's future.
“Labor believes that, in the century ahead, primary industries will continue to play a major role in creating wealth, income and jobs in rural and regional Australia, and in generating export income for the nation," she said.
