A BENDIGO production will showcase the lighter side of the Catholic education system.
Katholic Kabaret opens at The Capital on Tuesday night.
The CT Productions group has spent the past two months rehearsing the stage show, which captures the life and times of nuns and their influence on school students.
CT Productions president Loretta Gibson said the cast drew on their own experiences growing up in Catholic schools.
"It brings back all those memories," she said.
"It's a pretty light-hearted look at it all. It's accessible for non-Catholics as well, with an eclectic mix of songs, and a lot of comedy and musical performances."
Kerry Angove, one of the lead performers, said she was excited about the show.
"It takes you back to childhood," she said. "The fond, and not so fond memories of the nuns. It's going to be a lot of fun to perform."
Katholic Kabaret runs from October 1-5, for tickets visit The Capital or call 5434 6100.
