A DISPUTE between neighbours turned ugly Friday night and resulted in a man being taken to hospital.
Police were called to Carinya Court in Elphinstone around 9pm after reports of a dispute between neighbours.
Sergeant Peter Lukaitis said a 51-year-old man and 31-year-old appeared to have come to blows.
“It appears that an altercation has occurred between the two men,” he said.
“Injuries were sustained to a 31-year-old who had to go to the Royal Melbourne Hosptial with a suspected dislocated shoulder.
“And the 51-year-old sustained a small wound to his neck.”
Sergeat Lukaitis said the men were yet to be questioned.
“The Macedon Ranges crime investigation unit are investigating it,” he said.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are continuing.
“The police will be speaking to both parties this week.”
Sergeatn Lukaitis said both men lived in Carinya Court.
He said he did not know what had caused the argument.
