IT’S round two in the battle to find out the answer to one of life’s biggest questions- is beer or wine better?
The second in the Public INN’S Beer versus Wine dinner series will be held on Friday, October 4.
Two teams, one composed of craft beer experts and the other of wine connoisseurs, will each match a beverage with a set meal cooked by Public INN head chef Rohan Hehir.
The 40 guests will determine whether it is the beer or wine that best accompanies the food, with the winner of the most courses declared the overall victor.
In round one, the craft beer team was victorious by just two points.
The wine team are looking to reclaim their dignity and reputation in the next round.
“Team Wine has thrown caution to the wind and invested in first round draft picks to bolster the ranks,” he said.
“New talent is emerging.”
Bendigo Beer representative Trev Birks said he did not fear the wine team’s fighting words.
“We’re expecting Team Wine to come out swinging in round two with more bottles of fermented fruit juice, but we are quietly confident that the complexity of craft beer will be victorious again,” he said.
The seasonally-influenced five-course meal will focus on new spring produce sourced within the region.
Tickets are $99 per person. Bookings can be made on 5472 3568 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
