THE Bendigo Vegan Group is holding a cake sale this Saturday to raise money for Edgar's Mission Farm Sanctuary.
Polly the pig will be a guest at the festival and entertainment includes Paul Lamb playing the didgeridoo and singers Hannah and Leah.
Organiser Zerin Knight said there had been a strong demand for the festival after similar events in Bendigo.
"There have been a few of these VegOut fundraising events in Bendigo and they are amazingly popular," she said.
“Bendigonians have been very generous in their support because all funds are donated to Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary."
Organiser Regan Kemp said there would also be a lot of food on offer during the festival.
“Vegans have to be good at baking and cooking because they can’t readily buy the food that they love, which means they get lots of practice at making their own," she said.
There will also be information stalls on nutrition sources for vegetarians and vegans on the day.
The VegOut festival will take place at The Good Loaf from 10am to 2pm on Saturday.
