PEOPLE who waited in line for 72 hours finally got their coveted grand final tickets.
Tickets went on sale at the City Central Newsagency in Queen Street at 9am on Monday.
Joanne Dehne of Leitchville was the first to get her hands on some tickets when she bought nine for her family.
"We have been doing it every year for more than 30 years," Ms Dehne said.
"It's a very exciting day, especially for the kids."
Ms Dehne is a Carlton supporter along with most of the family.
"All the family is Carlton but the kids are still undecided," she said.
"They'll decide later on."
As for the match itself, Ms Dehne is just hoping for a close game.
"I think I'll decide (who to support) on the day," she said.
"Someone might play a bit dirty so I'll support against them," she said.
"But Fremantle are in in its first grand final will be more determined to win."
