THE Echuca Riverboats Festival will return to the banks of the Murray River next year with some of Australia’s best musicians set to take the stage.
On Monday the line-up for next year’s three-day festival was announced with, The Cat Empire, Tim Finn, Ian Moss and Paul Dempsey all set to take the stage.
A mix of Australian music icons and the latest music up-and-comers will perform amongst the historic paddle-steamers on the at the amphitheatre stage at the Aquatic Reserve.
Festival producer David Frazer said he was blown away with what organisers have been able to do in a short time.
He said he was excited to present some of the most celebrated names in Australian music on the banks of one of the country’s most famous rivers.
“In just two short years Riverboats has developed a passionate following amongst music fans who were looking for something a little different,” Mr Frazer said.
“The event has a boutique feel to it.
“We have a single stage a smaller audience capacity and inexpensive ticket prices.”
The festival kicks off on February 14.
