SOUTH Bendigo gun forward Justin Maddern won his second Ron Best Medal for being leading goalkicker in this year's Bendigo Football League action.
Recruited to the Bloods from Kangaroo Flat, Maddern finished the season on 67 goals.
Maddern's athleticism, high marking ability and skill at ground level troubled every team's defence.
Strathfieldsaye's Luke Podhajski kicked 49 goals to win the reserves award.
A highlight of yesterday's awards ceremony was the Wing Man award being presented by Danny Frawley and Michael Roberts to Eaglehawk's Jordan Ilsley.
The teenager is the Bendigo finalist for the Wing Man awards to be announced in AFL grand final week.
There are many tasks he does throughout the week and on matchday.
The Ilsley family is one of the famous names in Eaglehawk's history.
