THE Bendigo Braves and Lady Braves were amongst the big winners at the SEABL awards on Saturday night.
Ben Harvey was named men's coach of the year after leading the Braves to top of the east conference.
The Braves also set a new club record of 16 wins-in-a-row this season, but came up empty-handed in their search for silverware.
The Braves went down in the east conference final against eventual SEABL champions Dandenong.
Imports Ivan McFarlin and Jazz Ferguson were both selected in the All-SEABL team of the year.
McFarlin dragged down the most rebounds in the SEABL and Ferguson led all scorers.
McFarlin also finished third in the MVP, behind joint-winners John Pichon from Sandringham and Nunawading's Shane McDonald.
Renae Camino was the only Lady Braves player picked in the All-SEABL team.
Maddie Garrick took home the Australian Youth Player of the Year.
Former Lady Braves Kelly Wilson and Gabe Richards cleaned-up at the awards.
Wilson was named league MVP for the second time and Richards was also named in the All-SEABL team.
