KANGAROO Flat will face Gisborne in this Saturday's battle for the A-grade netball premiership in the Bendigo Football Netball League.
The Kangaroos teamed brilliantly to win Saturday night's preliminary final against Sandhurst by two goals.
Sandhurst led 25-18 at half-time on the QEO court.
The Jannelle Hobbs-coached Kangaroo Flat won the third quarter, 16-14, and continued to keep the pressure on.
Fans were treated to a dramatic final quarter.
There were many body-on-body contests as players vied to win possession.
Scores were level at three minutes to go in a high-stakes match. The Roos capitalised on turnovers and went on to win 49-47.
Kangaroo Flat goal attack Rachel Mackenzie capped an outstanding game by scoring a team-high 28 goals.
Mackenzie was best-on-court.
Roos' goalshooter Nina Cass played well and scored 21 goals.
Sandhurst's leading goalscorers were Kelsey Sartori, 32, and Lucy Spalding, 15.
The preliminary final victory added to Flat's roller-coaster ride in the finals.
After a five-goal loss to Sandhurst in the qualifying final, Flat hit back to beat Golden Square by three in the first semi-final.
Beaten just once this season, Gisborne will start hot favourite to win its first A-grade netball premiership.
The red, white and blue won the round six clash with Kangaroo Flat by 19 goals.
The return clash on Flat's court ended in a 17-goal victory for Gisborne.
