ACCLAIMED musical director and TV personality John Foreman will join Harrison Craig on his upcoming More Than A Dream tour, which stops by Bendigo.
Mr Foreman said he is looking forward to touring with The Voice winner, whose debut album shot to number one on the iTunes chart earlier this year.
The 18-year-old Craig has risen to stardom despite living with a stutter.
The impediment does not affect his singing voice.
“I remember seeing Harrison on The Voice and his style of performance really struck me,” Mr Foreman said.
“He had a voice that really connected with people."
“The emotion that comes through on a performance cannot be faked.”
Mr Foreman said he hasn't been on the road in a while and was looking forward to visiting places like Bendigo.
“Having grown up in Newcastle, I know the sort of community and life that exists in these local country theatres,” he said.
An acclaimed pianist, Mr Foreman said he will accompany Craig on stage but his main job as musical director was to ensure the star of the show looks and feels great.
“We’re going to catch up over the next few weeks and work out how to translate the songs he’s recorded into a live environment,” he said.
Mr Foreman said audiences will recognise a slight jazz influence to the show but it’s mostly operapop.
“There’s certainly a bit of Bublé in there,” he said.
“I’m very much looking forward to this tour.”
John Foreman will join Harrison Craig at The Capital theater on Thursday 31 October.
