A 76-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were airlifted to hospital from Echuca yesterday with serious injuries after a collision.
Echuca police said two cars collided on Murray Valley Highway about 3.30pm on the outskirts of Echuca near Scott Road when one of the cars was attempting to turn into Scott Road.
Echuca Senior Constable Andrew Beaumont said the 76-year-old driver of a blue Daihatsu hatch needed to be cut out of the car by emergency services.
He was airlifted to the Alfred Hospital and his female passenger to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, both with serious but non life-threatening injuries.
The 19-year-old male driver of the other vehicle, a white Ford Falcon, was uninjured.
An Alfred Hospital spokesman said last night the 76-year-old man was in a critical but stable condition while the condition of the woman was listed as stable.
