EUNICE Little had 100 reasons to smile on election day.
Known to her friends and family as “Una”, the Golden Square resident celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday.
“When I turned 90 I thought that was wonderful,” Mrs Little said. “I never dreamed I’d get to 100.”
Mrs Little was born in Bendigo and is proud to still call Bendigo home.
She is mother to three children and boasts seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A steady stream of visitors entered Mrs Little’s house on Saturday with friends and family wishing her a happy birthday.
“I’m looking forward to going out for dinner,” Mrs Little said. “It will be nice.”
And the secret to a long life?
“I keep busy... walking and I do knitting for kids in Africa,” Mrs Little said.
