PROSPECTIVE students had the chance to explore La Trobe University’s Bendigo campus and Bendigo TAFE at open days on the weekend.
La Trobe University was awash with redshirted volunteer students yesterday, who helped guide prospective students and their families around the facilities.
Most faculties had demonstrations and displays set up and staff members were on hand to provide information on courses.
There was a l s o plenty of action at Bendigo TAFE’s two campuses.
Different demographics passed through both campuses to enquire about courses on offer, ask questions and get a glimpse of the facilities.
Bendigo TAFE staff were on hand to provide information to future students and their families.
Marketing and business development director John Rossi said the tertiary institutions deliberately held open days at the same time.
‘‘La Trobe University is represented at our open day and we are represented at their event,’’ he said.
‘‘It is about showcasing tertiary education in Bendigo as well as working together to provide students with more pathways to achieve their goals.’’
