THE bowlers have dominated the opening day of the BDCA grand final between Strathdale-Maristians and Eaglehawk at the QEO today

The Suns won the toss and bowled first on a soft QEO wicket and dismissed the Hawks for 100 inside 50 overs.
Ben DeAraugo was the main destroyer with the ball for the Suns taking 6/55 and putting him on track for a third-straight Taylor-Walsh Medal.
The Hawks had been 9/66 before last pair Shane Taylor (25 n.o.) and Richard Tibbett (11) put on 34 for the final wicket.
At stumps after facing 32 overs in their innings, the Suns are 6/85, with Nick Baker (17 n.o.) and Craig Howard (5 n.o.) to resume the innings tomorrow, with Strathdale needing 16 more runs for victory.
Cory Jacobs has 3 wickets for the Hawks so far.
