A RANGE of vintage bridal and wedding fashions will be on display at St Andrew’s Hall today.
Organised by Bendigo Uniting Care, the bridal fashion event is set to raise funds for the emergency relief work it provides the Bendigo community.
Bendigo Uniting Care Church and Community liaison Judy Causon said there would be three different bridal parades showcased throughout the event.
“The first will feature garments from the Uniting Care opportunity shops, the second will include wedding wear from some other cultures and the third will feature wedding fashions from private collections,” she said.
Mrs Causon said there would be dresses on display from almost every decade from the 1940s.
She said all garments from the oportunity shops would be available for people to buy.
Mrs Causon encouraged vintage fashion collectors, as well as people who enjoyed bridal fashion, to come to the event.
Mrs Causon said other features of the afternoon would include live music, a Devonshire afternoon tea and lucky door prizes.
The event will run from 2pm until 4.30pm.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased from St Andrew’s Hall in Myers Street.
