POLICE are investigating the cause of a crash that killed a woman in her 30s near Rochester this afternoon.
SES, police and paramedics were called to the scene about 2pm.
It's believed the woman's Holden Commodore collided with a truck on the Northern Highway.
The impact of the crash scattered debris across the road and split the car in half.
The Northern Highway is closed in both directions between Elmore and Rochester until further notice with detour signs in place for drivers.
