Woodend raid dents drug trade, police say

POLICE believe they have put a significant dent in the central Victorian drug trade after a raid at Woodend this morning.

The Central Victorian Response Unit found 30 grams of methamphetamine, known as ICE, believed to have a street value of more than $30,000.

More than 30 tablets of ecstasy, 5 kilograms of cannabis with a street value of $20,000 and other unidentified powders were also located.

The stash also included a large quantity of cash and weapons, including imitation handguns.

A 49-year-old man, believed to be a supplier to drug dealers, has been arrested.
