HEATHCOTE golfers got into the swing on Wednesday to support a cause close to every woman’s heart.
About 25 women dressed in pink and played a round of golf to support research for the treatment, cure and prevention of breast cancer.
Heathcote Golf Club lady captain Tristen Wearne said the club and all its members were proud to be involved in the event.
“These events support a cause close to the heart of many of our members,” she said.
“It is great to be able to enjoy a round of golf with friends whilst raising funds for such a worthwhile cause.
“The club and its members are passionate about supporting research that can save more lives from breast cancer.”
Ms Wearne said another fund-raising event would be held today with the men golfers.
“Last year the men complained they missed out on all the fun,” she said.
“So this year we decided to do our normal fund-raising event on Wednesday but also do something on Saturday to include them.”
