BENDIGO food and wine will be showcased on a grand scale at the World’s Longest Lunch in Rosalind Park tomorrow.
Tickets are still available for the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival-affiliated event, which Wine Bank on View has run for four years.
From midday to 4pm, guests seated on one long table in the park will receive a six-course meal served with accompanying local wines.
A shuttle bus from the train station will ferry guests who travel to Bendigo for the event.
Wine Bank on View owner Mark Coffey said he tried to source as much food as possible on the menu locally. “It’s really about getting people into the local good and wine,” he said.
“People don’t understand how great the local scene is.
“It’s about letting the world now we’re here and show how good we really are.”
Mr Coffey said singles or groups would love the friendly atmosphere in the picturesque surrounds.
He said with previous events selling out, booking was essential.
Tickets are $125 per person for six courses and are available for purchase from Wine Bank on View or by calling 5444 4655.
