Golfers chase riches at Neangar Park tournament 

NEANGAR Park Golf Club’s autumn tournament, sponsored by Harvey Norman, hits off tomorrow at the Averys Road course.

First event is the women’s opening day, Irish four ball, which has drawn a field of more than 90.

On Friday, two events will be run concurrently, with men and women playing in a 4BBB stableford.

On Saturday, the men compete for the open 36 hole championship title.

“Phil DeAraugo, Tim Daykin, Braiden Connor and Eric Barclay are looking hard to beat, however strong showings are also expected from visitors including, Hayden Neilsen, Brent Rothacker and the Tatt brothers from Belvoir Park” said men’s captain Ian Klason.

There are two separate 18-hole events for the day, with am and pm tee times available.

Sunday’s tournament finale is the Mixed Canadian event which includes the Open Mixed Championship as well as the Frank Fitzpatrick trophy for club members for the best nett score.
