Footy fever funds local schools

ELEVEN central Victorian schools are on their way to kicking some fund-raising goals after being chosen to participate in the inaugural www.helpuskickgoals.com.au program.

Thanks to BLS Financial, each school will be given the proceeds from the auction of AFL tickets throughout the footy season.

The selected schools for the 2013 program are:

Marong Primary School; St Luke’s Educational Services; Drummartin Primary School, St Kilian’s Primary School, Wedderburn College, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Primary School, Elmore, Eppalock Primary School, White Hills Primary School, Bendigo Special Developmental School, Doxa School and Holy Rosary Primary School.

BLS Financial has made available four tickets each week – two to the Etihad Medallion Club and two to the MCG Members area.

The company’s director, Adam Mackenzie, said it was BLS Financial’s “way of reaching out and showing our support to the wider community, and in this case the less heard of causes’’.

“I know that this sponsorship will reach out and touch a huge amount of our clients’ friends and families, who we are forever grateful for their business and its our way of showing them,’’ he said.

For full details on each school project, keep reading the Bendigo Advertiser and listen to 3BO – the schools and their projects will feature in both media in the lead up to the rounds they have been allocated throughout the season.

The first auction will kick off at www.helpuskickgoals.com.au on March 25 – so get bidding.
