QUARRY Hill Primary school students were treated to a fun puppet show with a serious message on Monday.
McDonald’s Camp Quality Puppets delivered an interactive live performance aimed at teaching children the importance of providing support to others returning to school after treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses.
McDonald’s Camp Quality national programs manager Angie Grant said the show was fun and laughter-filled, but also educated children on the importance of acceptance and tolerance.
“Cancer and serious illness are hard for young children to understand,” Ms Grant said.
“The show teaches kids about cancer, and how to create a supportive and understanding school community for those living with a serious illness.”
