A civic reception celebrating the Bendigo Spirit will be held at the town hall next Tuesday.

BENDIGO council have announced no matter what the outcome on Sunday, a civic reception will be held in honour of the Bendigo Spirit.
The event next Tuesday at the town hall will celebrate all the Spirit has accomplished this season.
“The Spirit’s win against Dandenong last month meant they secured the right to host the final right here in Bendigo,” mayor Lisa Ruffell said.
“Win, lose or draw we want to celebrate their great team effort in making the final and in doing so putting Greater Bendigo front and centre on the national stage.”
The Spirit will host the Townsville Fire in the WNBL grand final at the Bendigo Stadium on Sunday at 3.45pm.
