TICKETS are still available for this Thursday’s Gallic Club dinner involving three of Bendigo’s major sporting organisations.
The Bendigo Spirit’s WNBL grand final, Bendigo International Madison and the Bendigo Jockey Club’s Golden Mile will all be highlighted in a dinner on Thursday, at the Bendigo Jockey Club’s Silks Function Centre.
The dinner will showcase the local and international cyclists to compete in this weekend’s Madison carnival and some of the Spirit squad who will play in Sunday’s WNBL grand final against Townsville.
The Yalumba Golden Mile Raceday on March 16 sees Bendigo hosting a stand alone metropolitan class meeting with $1 million in prizemoney and bonuses and it will be televised live nationally on the 7Two network.
The sporting bodies have pulled together to also offer a multi-event ticket to all three events which will be one of several auction items to be offered at the dinner.
Proceeds from the evening will support the Madison committee fund-raising, which in part is given to assist a junior cycling star with their continued development, and the Bendigo Spirit to assist with operational costs.
